Meet the Crew

A lot of people carry something they cannot easily explain to anyone. So we drew it. Each character below stands for one way a mind can work — what they are great at, what they find hard, and what they would tell you about themselves. Every one of them has a song.

These are stories, not tests. A character can help you put words to a feeling. Only a trained person can say what is going on for you. If any of this sounds like you, or like someone you love, we can help — ask us for help or call (346) 842-0424.

Spark, a bright orange character with flame-shaped hair, grinning and
surrounded by sticky notes that say NEW IDEA and DO THIS.

Spark

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Spark is a bright orange ball of energy, and he is always thinking of something new. He loves to start projects, solve problems, and try things nobody has tried yet. But his thoughts move fast. It can be hard for him to stay on one job, keep things in order, or finish before the next big idea shows up. That same quick brain is also his gift. Spark sees chances that other people walk right past.

Strengths

  • Creative thinking
  • Problem solving
  • High energy
  • New ideas

Challenges

  • Focus
  • Organization
  • Time management

“Wait! I just had another great idea!”

Flux, a purple character who is half sun and half crescent moon,
waving, wearing one sneaker and one slipper.

Flux

Bipolar Disorder

Flux is a purple friend who is part sun and part moon. Some days Flux feels bright, sure, and ready for anything. Other days feel slow and heavy, and even small jobs feel hard. These changes are much bigger than the ups and downs most people have. Flux is not two different people. Flux is one person whose mood and energy can swing a long way. With help, the right tools, and people who get it, Flux still does amazing things.

  • Creativity
  • Never giving up
  • Bouncing back

Challenges

Scout, a yellow character with binoculars and a packed backpack,
checking a list that ends with DEEP BREATHS.

Scout

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (Anxiety)

Scout is the lookout. He carries a backpack full of things the group might need, and he plans ahead so everyone stays safe. His brain is always checking for what could go wrong. That gets tiring, and it can make a normal day feel like a lot to handle. But Scout notices what other people miss, and everyone around him feels safer because he is there.

Strengths

  • Being ready
  • Attention to detail
  • Being dependable
  • Noticing things

Challenges

  • Overthinking
  • Worrying a lot
  • Feeling restless

                    ONE STEP AT A TIME.

Nimbus

Depression

Nimbus is a soft blue cloud who knows that some days take extra work. Jobs that look easy to other people can feel heavy to him. He may move slower, need more rest, or run out of energy. That does not mean he is not trying. Nimbus wants you to know that slow progress still counts, and that asking for help is a strong thing to do.

Strengths

  • Thinking of others
  • Keeping going
  • Kindness

Challenges

  • Hard to get started
